I don't like watercolor. I was a disappointed when I realized the whole book was in watercolor. That was a major turnoff.
On the other hand, the plot was really loose. The final face off between Batman and Superman was completely stupid. For god's sake, couldn't they just talk and agree that Batman disappears? I also didn't like the way Miller portrayed the Joker. I liked [a:Alan Moore|3961|Alan Moore|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1304944713p2/3961.jpg]'s Joker in [b:Batman: The Killing Joke|96358|Batman The Killing Joke|Alan Moore|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1346331835s/96358.jpg|551787] better.
I don't know. It seems that this book is one the favorites among Batman fans. Maybe I looking at it the wrong way.
I think that Christopher Nolan created a deeper and better batman than Frank Miller or even Alan Moore.
