ایلیاد - Homer کتاب خیلی خسته کننده ای بود

I can't believe that a book so much full of violence could be so boring. I couldn't sympathize with characters because Achilles was just a sick fag (he sacrificed twelve Trojan prisoners in his boyfriends funeral) who would go cry to his mom when he was insulted. On the other side, the Trojans were so stupid to put the themselves at war with the whole Greek to defend their philander prince, Paris, who stole the wife of the king of Sparta!
The plot was also stupid. Gods wanted to destroy Troy so they sent the Greeks there. Before attacking, the Greek king insults one of the generals. The general, Achilles, complains to his mom, who is a goddess, and she asks the king of the gods to punish the Greeks. When the Greek army is being slaughtered by Trojans, a friend of Achilles is killed, so he gets really pissed off and starts fighting and defeats the Trojan army by himself and kills their mighty commander, Hector. He keeps insulting Hector's corpse until Hector's father, King Priam, begs him to give away the body. The story finishes there. Seriously.
This stupid story was told badly. There were so many irrelevant flashbacks, boring descriptions, long out of place dialogues and so on.
I didn't check the spoilers alert box so you don't read the book! It's such a waste of time.
